I'm super excited to share that the Webex Hologram project that I started years ago was named Best Collaboration Tool of the year at the #AWE USA 2024 conference #Auggie Awards ceremony! It allows people to share 3D experience and work together seeing photorealistic holograms of the other people, even when they’re far apart. The Auggies celebrate the most exciting and innovative work in the #AR/#VR industry. #Webex Hologram is the first photorealistic #3D #collaboration solution for enterprise customers and showcases what hybrid work will look like in the future. #WebexHologram #Cisco #Hologram
I've been getting information about post quantum resistant cryptography from a lot of people lately. This post from @ekr____ does a great job out outlining the space. https://t.co/XqXsLa2kCY
What’s the best way to send audio and video over the Internet? For the last couple years, I’ve been working on a new solution: #MediaOverQUIC. I’m very excited about this work with @ietf, and if you want to learn more about it, check out this blog post: https://t.co/uInYhovwrl

@evernote I lost all faith in Evernote as a company as it pushed me away. I am happy to pay for value it provides but evernote failed to provide a plan that worked for people that just wants notes on a bunch of devices. Thanks for getting me to find https://t.co/jFrvh79efV
At @ietf 118 this week, we’re working on #MediaOverQUIC—a new protocol trying to solve two converging problems: Real-time collab wants low latency, high quality, and to scale a single session to a million users. Live streaming wants lower latency to improve interactivity. Here's how Media Over QUIC can make a difference. https://t.co/4ggo6sEtIa
When we experience latency on a video call, our first instinct isn’t to blame the network, but who we’re talking to. We think they're lazy, tired, or not very bright. This harms collaboration. So a few of us at @Cisco and @ietf are working together: https://t.co/KnDmstWqNz
Phone numbers are a lot cooler than we think they are. Here’s why I think that when the phone system is dead and gone, we’ll still be using phone numbers.

Last year I did a survey of networks regarding ECN and DSCP-45 usage for L4S and NQB (for dual queue low latency networking). Some high level findings follow... 🧵 #DSCP#ECN#Latency#LowLatency#Bufferbloat
@ekr____@jdrosen2@alissacooper@docetist An excellent analysis by EKR. We need look at the range of possible solutions to this problem and move quickly to standardize and deploy some solution.
@danyork there is a long story about standards in this but bottom line is that cable would not ever worked because the messed up the forward comparability. later they fixed this but had to use a new connector to require support for the version that was not a broken standard.
@peggyj just revealed #MagicLeap2 on @CNBC - the industry’s smallest and lightest device. Built for enterprise, it is more immersive and comfortable, with the largest FOV, and dimming – a first-to-market innovation enabling use in brightly lit settings. https://t.co/jSPUGd4P9N
@magicleap@PeggyJ@CNBC I’m super impressed with the way the MK2 headsets have leapfrogged the other headsets on the market and are delivering what is needed for holographic meetings
