Walking to Twickenham
Bins overflowing with smoothie containers and some unidentified protein thing
Different vibe
No chinos and corporate braying

Don’t really understand the hate towards women’s football.
If it’s not for you that’s absolutely fine. You don’t have to watch, listen, read or engage.
The game is growing, improving and inspiring youngsters - all hugely positive things.
Anyway, come on England 🏴 #Lionesses
Suitable conversation topics with a neighbour:
1. The weather - “bit hot,” “bit wet,” “meant to be nice at the weekend,” “meant to snow soon” etc. Just anything very obvious.
2. Bins - missing collections, questions about changes in the calendar, asking if they’ll put your bin out/take it in while you’re away.
3. Rumours. What I call “I don’t know if you’ve heard but” conversations. Mostly to do with council plans or roadworks.
4. “Did you hear that loud noise last night?”
5. Maintenance-related questions: asking who does their garden, what tradesmen they use, where they get their car serviced etc.
6. Complaining about another neighbour together.
7. Asking if they’ve had the same problem with their house as you’re currently having with yours (especially if you live in new builds/have the same style of house).
8. Alerting them to some loud DIY you’re soon to undertake or a loud party you’re about to host.
9. Saying something useless like “been shopping?” if they’re carrying shopping bags, or “been to the gym?” if they’re wearing sports kit.
10. Saying “finished work for the day?” if they’ve clearly just finished work for the day.
