@RwWhite82@TechyTeacher1@RwWhite82 I agree that class is no longer a direct lecture environment of learn this and write it down. We need to find creative ways of using technology in class to help keep student's attention. #TFE620W19
@amanda_piper12 @its_jackiec @amanda_piper12 This is a great point about making students feel engaged. I agree that if they feel like they are a part of their learning then great things can happen in the classroom! #TFE620W19
@RwWhite82@RwWhite82 I agree personalized learning can help reach students who are both low or high. In my school we have both types and I think personalizing our learning experience in my class can help both sides get what they need out of class. #TFE620W19
@RwWhite82@RwWhite82 Happy to hear you had a positive experience with your student out on sick leave, but one of the barriers preventing some students from having the same experience is the lack of communication between the teacher and home. I only home I have same positive one! #TFE620W19
@Michelle_Gram1@Michelle_Gram1 This is a problem in my school too. Teachers design great lessons/topics but there is still curriculum to cover. I don't know what the best answer is, but we have tried to make sure lessons are interesting but also a part of what we are teaching. #TFE620W19
@Michelle_Gram1@Michelle_Gram1 Spec Ed is a hot topic item in my school as well. I believe we are doing a much better job of helping design lessons and activities that fit everyone's needs. Using your idea of focusing on thing that interest kids can help with their learning. Thanks! #TFE620W19
I am lucky to be in the district that I am in because technology has helped personalize learning. For home-bound students, I am able to communicate each day with them and help with need be. Also, with my vision impaired student, I was able to adapt tests electronically #TFE620W19
Some ways that I have used personalized learning is adapting to students who are home-bound due to various things, adapting assessments to fit the needs on non verbal learners, and adapting my class to fit the needs of a blind student. In the end its on us to adjust #TFE620W19
Every year I deal with some type personalized learning. In this every changing world, educators need to understand that not all students are the same and we need to adapt to fit each student's individual need. #TFE620W19
@KevinTa49838447@its_jackiec@KevinTa49838447 I know this is a technology class, but I have found sometimes that I physically have to remove technology from my student's hands in order to keep their attention. I have a cell phone holder up in my classroom to help eliminate classroom distractions. #TFE620W19
@joneslauren326 @its_jackiec @joneslauren326 Thanks for the great tip on the Classroom app. I am always looking for better ways to keep students on task in my classroom. Technology can be the great distractor!#TFE620W19
@Michelle_Gram1@Michelle_Gram1 Technology is an amazing tool. For instance when my students hear the Kahoot music, they all snap to attention and start cheering. It is crazy how it can get their attention. #TFE620W19
@Michelle_Gram1@Michelle_Gram1 Great point here. This is something that I have been saying for years! Make sure the technology is worth it before you spend the money!!! #TFE620W19
@JasonWa83675051 @JasonWa83675051 Access is a big issue sometimes in my school as well. I find it better to make sure the internet is up and running well before class starts and also to check to make sure technology is functioning properly before too. #TFE620W19#TFE620
@amanda_piper12 @amanda_piper12 I can relate to what you are saying here. When I first started teaching, I found myself unprepared sometimes in front of the room because I just assumed everything was going to work. I try to not let that happen anymore!!! #TFE620#TFE620W19

The main thing that I wish our district would consider before implementing new technology is "do the teachers want it?" Being that we are the ones in the classroom using the technology, is it something that we can use or something that will help in class? #TFE620W19
My school has had some success implementing iPads for all students. Most teachers have been willing to adapt their classrooms into the new age of teaching, but there are still some holding onto the paper age. One major problem that we have experienced is WiFi issues. #TFE620W19
@LO_Peck663@gimkit Thanks for the awesome tip @LO_Peck663. This is my class' favorite way to review for a test and it is nice to have another way to do it. I will make sure to check it out @gimkit#TFE600
