“'We are deeply committed to our work for the museum, but we need management to understand that what they are offering is unsustainable,' said Anton Sherin, an archivist at the Guggenheim." @UAWRegion9A

Proudly rallied alongside @CPWUAW for a fair new contract with my soon-to-be colleagues @ClaireforNY and @DarializaforNY. These workers are righteously organizing for the compensation & job security they need to afford living in NYC.
Their current contract expired yesterday. University leadership needs to step up now with improved working conditions for these brilliant academic researchers. Full solidarity!
The student journalists at @nyunews are fundraising so that they can pay the top editors—so that student journalist leadership isn’t closed to students who have to work for money. WSN has been deeply important to our struggle, and we urge people to donate. https://t.co/vIMgXSoRPO
We are pleased to announce that we were able to come to an agreement to hold an NLRB election on July 24th. We’re looking forward to winning recognition with our overwhelming majority of support and continuing to fight for our colleagues! #SchnepsUnion
From Schwartz Plaza to the Capitol and City Hall! Back on Halloween 2024, a certain future mayor and a certain future congresswoman rallied with us to mark the start of what turned out to be 17 months of bargaining. They stood with us then and they'll stand with us now.
An excellent article by @clauirizarry. And I mean every word I shared here: “The UAW is the labor group to watch because of their willingness to challenge these systems, and because of their ability to organize the right way. It’s been potent…”
Management says they won’t replace us with AI.
But “we’re gonna need that in writing,” says reporter and ProPublica podcast host Jessica Lussenhop.
Here’s how you can support our fight:
Overall, 500+ @UAW members volunteered to join canvasses, phone banks, and rallies, all on their own time. Our members reached over 50,000 voters, and we made history! Our members will mobilize to get all of our endorsed candidates across the finish line this fall.
Assembly Member @claireforny (@Local2110UAW) won by 21% in NY-7. @darializaforny (@alaa2325) defeated an incumbent by 2,000 votes to win in NY-13.
Both are predicted to win the general election, meaning for the first time ever @UAW will be represented by members in Congress.
🚨 Nearly all @UAW-endorsed candidates won their primary elections in New York City last night—including not one but two UAW members who won the Democratic nomination for U.S. Congress.
Flashback to when we met with @JoAnneSimonBK52 last summer. Thank you for having our back during our contract fight, and for standing up for us and our siblings in Albany. We're glad you're going back.
NYU’s next member of congress standing with us all the way back in February 2023, when we were demanding an election agreement. @bradlander stood with us then and since, and we know he’ll stand with us, our colleagues, and our students in Washington, too.
Again and again, our friend @bradlander has stood with the workers at NY10's largest employer, and we are excited to have him standing for us and other higher ed workers and students as our next member of congress.
As comptroller, @bradlander stood with us from the beginning: demanding a fair recognition process in March 2023, starting bargaining in October 2024, and when we stood with our colleagues defending peer review and science in February 2025. We know he’ll keep standing with us.
