I was bit hesitant about moving to @IndiaHaier after SONY. But 1.3L Sony failed after 5 years. Spent 35k then failed again in 2 years. Chose budget option as replacement but ordeal already started. Let’s see how it progress.

Bought a Haier 65 inch TV from @cromaretail Urappakkam 603202. The delivery person took my old Sony 65 inch tv along with the clamp meant for wall mounting. When the Haier tech came, TV didn’t turn on. Running behind @IndiaHaier and @cromaretail for replacement.

So I got this threatening letter from @KolkataPolice for merely asking a few questions and for exercising my right of free speech.

This is a clear case of @MamataOfficial administration silencing the voice of private citizens using the power of Kolkata Police.

I am just a private citizen who is so disgusted by what happened to #Moumita_Debnath that I decided to speak up. But apparently, @KolkataPolice does NOT like independent voices that speak up.

As a woman and as a mother, I fear for my safety. We all know what Kolkata Police can do, and we all know what happens to women who dare to speak against @MamataOfficial in West Bengal. They are either subjected to violence or intimidation like the #SandeshkhaliHorror victims or forced to leave the state like @UnSubtleDesi.

I am just an ordinary citizen trying to do the right thing. I am not a member of any political party, nor do I have an organisation to back me up. And I don’t have the wherewithal or the energy to fight the intimidation tactics of a state administration where the police acts like the collection agents of a regime. So yes, I will delete the post as @KolkataPolice asked me to do as advised by my lawyer.

I am doing so not because I think I was wrong in asking questions, but after what happened to #Moumita_Debnath, I fear for my safety and for my life.

You won @KolkataPolice, in silencing the voice of a common citizen. Congratulations. Huge achievement. Now if only you guys showed the same zeal in protecting the women of West Bengal, #Moumita_Debnath would STILL BE ALIVE!
