On behalf of Uganda’s young tourism champions - the students, emerging stakeholders, tour operators, guides, content creators, storytellers, writers, lodge and hotel staff, and the many passionate tourism groups across the country.

We warmly welcome Ms. @JulzKagwa as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda Tourism Board.

I recently had the opportunity to meet Ms. Juliana, and it was immediately clear to me; she carries the spirit of exploration, authenticity, and commitment that our sector so deeply needs. Her enthusiasm for Uganda’s unique tourism offerings isn’t just theoretical, it’s lived.

In fact, she was set to join us for a white-water rafting adventure on the Nile this week alongside Amb. @Nsababera_juju, but an urgent matter held her back. Still - imagine a CEO, in her very first week in office, ready to jump into the Nile. That tells you all you need to know about her fearless energy and genuine interest in experiencing Uganda first-hand.

We celebrate your appointment, Ms. Juliana, and look forward to walking this journey with you - Promoting and protecting Uganda’s beauty, culture, and experiences together….

Yesterday, the Ugandan embassy in Turkey in collaboration with @TourismBoardUg, Ugandan travel trade, and Ndere Troupe held a successful tourism and investment roadshow in Mersin, Turkey.

The Ugandan delegation held B2B meetings with the Turkish travel trade, along with strategic engagements with potential investors from the Mersin Chamber of Commerce.

📍 Next stops: Konya, Bursa, and Istanbul as Uganda continues to showcase its unmatched tourism potential in the Turkish market.
