@gregorykennedy@BrandiKruse You’re not wrong. And the small family landlord can’t afford or would be crazy to consider this as a viable source of income, except in the exactly right circumsstances. The risks are too high and only the corporate (and less personal) landlords can navigate the obstacles.

@uncledoomer Now most families have dual incomes (women didn’t often work in jobs paying well back then) creating additional buying power from disposable income, which raised the amount available for spending on housing starting in the 70/80s, making 1950s and now not very comparable.
