@EveCorner @cjblack_physio @hksanger As a critical illness survivor, I’d rather that message was “There’s so much you can do with early mobilisation in ICU, but listen to the patient’s physiology and subjective sense of fatigue“ It’s don’t overdo, not don’t try. Recovery is hard enough without further deterioration

@gilldavies62 @ICUsteps @FICMNews @BPSOfficial Follow up is great, I was lucky enough to have it. Such a help in coming to terms with surviving ICU, but still only in a minority of units, many of them constantly having to justify and defend the role. What you do is key to our survival. Thank you 💖

@gilldavies62 @ICUsteps @FICMNews @BPSOfficial Even before the pandemic our provision of rehabilitation and support to ICU survivors was haphazard. NICE CG83 was 12 years ago. Critical care is expensive. Rehab is cheap in comparison, even a saving when you factor other costs. It’s time to make comprehensive rehab a standard
