In Huckabee's embassy, he displays the Israeli flag instead of the customary American one. In his first speech in Israel, he declared himself home. Most days, it's easy to mistake him for an ambassador of Israel, to the United States. He doens't give Israel American messaging, but rather, gives Americans Israel's messaging.

Don't believe me? Look at his X feed. It's full of pro-Israel lectures and berating his countrymen for not being Israel-First Americans. It's no wonder he gave an ambassador's warm welcome to Jonathan Pollard, a convicted Israeli spy who just recently told Jews in a public address to remain in America to spy on the U.S. because it was their duty as Jews. The man who laughed and said, "Dual loyalty? A Jew only has loyalty to Israel."

But betraying his country is nothing. The man betrays Christ and Christianity regularly.

When St. George's church was set aflame in arson, Huckabee vowed swift revenge. Until it was discovered Jewish settlers did it, and he hasn't mentioned it since.

When the Jerusalem municipal government decided to break a 400-year-old policy and back-tax churches 30 years (not even the Ottomans taxed Christian churches), Huckabee said nothing. When they froze the churches' bank accounts because they couldn't pay the millions in unexpected taxes, Huckabee said nothing.

When Israel confiscated church property held for centuries to make room for illegal settlers in territory forbidden by U.S. treaty, Huckabee said nothing.

When the Israeli government put the (literal) squeeze on Bethlehem because it was a majority Christian town, reducing the Christian population from 86% Christian to 10%, Huckabee said nothing.

When the Israeli National Security Minister declared it wasn't criminal to spit on Christians because it was a "treasured Jewish cultural practice going back to antiquity," Huckabee said nothing.

When multiple churches were missiled, multiple times, killing dozens of Christians in worship, with the most accurate, laser-guided (U.S.) weapons on Earth, Huckabee said nothing.

When Israel shut off clergy visas for three heavily Zionist denominations for a year, Huckabee privately sent a strongly-worded letter saying he would announce to Americans to stop flooding Israel with tourists and donations...while he went out publicly lied- the same week - declaring to evangelicals that "Israel has a deep appreciation for Christians and warmly embraces us in hospitality."

When the indigenous Christian community that's been there for millennia - but is not Zionist - issued the same visa complaint for years, Huckabee said nothing.

Just last week, when the church that Jewish settlers set aflame when again attacked by Jewish vandals and parts destroyed, Huckabee said nothing.

But when the traditional churches who have been in Israel for literal millennia spoke out in a letter a few months ago about how Christian Zionism complicates their lives and ministries Huckabee sure as hell spoke up, and questioning their faith and said, ""It's hard for me to understand why every one who takes on the moniker 'Christian' would not also be a Zionist."

By that, Huckabee impugned 1800 years of Chrisitans before Christian Zionism was invented, from the Church Fathers to the Reformers to the Puritans and founders of our country, to the Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, and Protestant Reformed churches - the three pillars of historic Christendom, all of whom reject the novel doctrines of Dispensationalism.

Let a pundit, influencer, or committed Christians in America speak out in disagreement with Zionism, or express concern about the treatment of Christians in Palestine, and Mike Huckabee will speak up and, from across the ocean, tweet furious denunciations.

But if you're a Christian in Israel, make no mistake, you are dead to him. It's time to ask what country he represents. And it's time to ask who His Savior is, and if He even remembers Him.
