My initial assessment was Apple Pay would just be a niche product and fail compared to UPI. As UPI is widely accepted now and simple enough to use that people accepted it already.

But, UPI will start charging people per transaction at merchants. So, this is is the right time for Apple Pay to make some interesting offers at launch and get a head start. With the amount of iOS devices here, it’s still a tough ask but timing couldn’t be better.

@mr_mayank As someone living in Hyderabad. I can say that HYDRAA was actually a good idea if implemented correctly.

But, the problem comes when the demolition comes selectively with hidden political motives.
Something that was truly a useful idea now turned into political tool.
