Manusmriti was not Bharat’s Constitution.

And one verse was never a CCTV camera over Bharat.

Manusmriti is usually dated to around 100 BCE-200 CE.

No exact year exists.

Now assume it carried the rule of the land.
Then the centuries after it should show the same pattern.

So let’s test the claim.

3rd century BCE.
Queen Kāruvākī.
Ashoka’s own edict records her donations.

A woman.
Public wealth.
Public charity.

1st century BCE.
Queen Nāganikā.

Naneghat records elaborate evidence of major donations.
Social welfare scheme by Queen.

2nd-1st century BCE.
Sanchi.

678 individual donors.
351 men.
327 women.
Almost parity.

Then came Tamilakam.
Women wrote poetry.
Avvaiyar became a public voice.
Women entered literature, courts and cultural life.

And then came the Arthashastra.
Roughly 3rd century BCE onward.

And guess what?
It has an entire section on women’s property.
It calls it Strīdhana.

Maintenance.
Jewellery.
Personal property.

A widow could claim what was due to her.
Her relatives had to return property held in custody.

4th century CE.
Queen Kumāradevī.

Her name.
Her image.
Beside Chandragupta I.
On Gupta gold coins.

Early 5th century CE.
Prabhāvatīguptā.

Queen-regent.
She issued land grants.

Yes.
A woman exercised royal authority.

Then Kashmir.
Didda ruled.

Then the Kakatiyas.
Rudramadevi ruled.

Different centuries.
Different kingdoms.
Different corners of Bharat.

Same inconvenient problem.
History refuses to obey the meme.

Was ancient India perfect?
No.

Was every Indian woman locked inside one Manu verse?
The inscriptions say otherwise.

Women donated.
Women wrote.
Women owned resources.
Women governed.
Women ruled.

So criticise Manusmriti.
Criticise patriarchy.

Absolutely.

But turning one verse into 5,000 years of Hindu civilisation?

That isn’t history.
That is an insult.
To appease your vote bank.

And if patriarchy is the test,
Use the same microscope on every religion.

Question the burqa too.
Question the triple Talaq which you opposed.
Question child marriages.
Question mosques where women are denied entry.

Question the Catholic Church,
Where women still cannot become priests, bishops or Pope.

Equality needs one yardstick.
Not selective outrage.

Equality deserves consistency.
Not selective outrage wearing choreographed spectacles.

“These brands have been selling such products for many years. FSSAI is now thinking about this issue only because people started raising it widely.

It took FSSAI so many years just to realise that selling cashew almond biscuits with only 0.9% in them is misleading.”

That is 2.35 million children whose hunger and education are being positively impacted.

The quintessential attribute of Gen Z should be innovation — not ageism. Challenge old ideas, disrupt old systems, build something better. But abusing or cancelling someone simply because of their age is neither progressive nor innovative.

So before sneering at an “uncle”, perhaps a useful question is: What have you built? How many lives have you positively touched?

Respect should be earned by contribution, not cancelled by age.

Ask all your volunteers to form groups of 2 all across states.
Ask them to visit schools which are allocated to them, inspect after getting permission respectfully

Prepare a report on the status on the ground by Taluk and give it to the state government

Then demand change armed with full data.
Publish a quarterly report and talk to citizens.
Now you have data on your side and citizens will respect you for your work. You will know which state is behind.
Understand the scale of the issue. India’s school system has around 18 lakh schools, 24 cr children upto class 12, 1.3 cr faculty and staff, 50% children in govt schools and declining.

This is public service If you are true and want change do this

Not leading a mob to a school, abusing people, threatening teachers and acting high and mighty.

Anarchy does not work
