Of course, benchmark chasing by AI wizards should always be taken with a grain of salt. These rankings only tell part of the story.

But one thing is becoming increasingly clear: open-source models are steadily closing the gap with frontier models.

I used GLM before and found it surprisingly solid, especially considering how cheap it was. However, over time, the pricing became less attractive while the speed also declined, so I eventually stopped using it.

The bigger issue was probably the infrastructure behind https://t.co/UaDsVXfcQv. The model itself was impressive, but the overall experience suffered from latency and reliability issues.

Curious whether their infrastructure has improved since then.
