Here’s a little story about major corporations in America:
Let’s say you work at a @CocaCola manufacturing plant. You work hard, get paid, and buy a coke to relax at the end of the day.
Coca Cola will then give some profit from that sale to the @USChamber of Commerce.
Are you ready for 2021? We are! Lets Talk About Climate launching January 4th, 2021. Join us @lobbyforclimate campaigners as we open the conversation into climate legislation and the politics behind it with various guests! #changethechamber#lobbyforclimate
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is still:
-protecting polluters in court
-lobbying against pro-climate bills
-shutting down pro-labor bills
-donating millions to give big corporations big tax breaks
The Chamber wants our gov to work for corporations, not you.

@CocaCola@NAACP@VoteRunLead If you really wanted to move democracy forward you would do something about the US Chamber of Commerce, the largest dark money group in the US.
Why are you funding them again?
The US Chamber has stepped in to support polluters again is US Steel Corp v Clean Air Council.
US Steel failed to report hazardous air conditions to locals after two fires at a manufacturing plant.
The Chamber has again to protect chosen corporate profit over human health.
@ClimateHuman certain fossil fuel groups are investing lots of money into making it seem like a non issue... my username may give some hints as to who...
The Chamber is spending millions to keep the senate controlled by Republicans. They are doing this with funding from companies like Disney, Morgan Stanley, Pepsi, who are being funded by, well, you.

"Sixty percent of ExxonMobil’s 2019 donations to climate obstructionist groups for “public information and policy research” went to the US Chamber of Commerce"

@TIME Wondering why this is happening?
Look to the US Chamber of Commerce, the largest trade association in America.
They spend tens of millions each year supporting climate denying politicians, ensuring their reelection, supporting polluters in court, and lobbying climate policy.
@globalenergy Fun Fact: natural gas is a fossil fuel! This means it produces greenhouse gasses when it burns.
It is also nonrenewable, meaning all supplies will eventually be used up rendering all investments in natural gas worthless.
@ClimateHuman Passing laws mandating transparency in 501(c)6 orgs membership/funding would make their mouthpieces and front groups like the US Chamber of Commerce a lot less effective!
