Unlike regular passenger vehicles, the size and weight of commercial motor vehicles means they need more distance to stop. That's why its important for other drivers to properly respect these large vehicles and avoid cutting them off or stopping suddenly in front of them.

And when trucks are overloaded, it leads to even longer stopping distances and the potential for a serious collision.

When you pass a tractor-trailer on the road, remember to give them extra space by looking for the entire truck in your mirror before changing lanes in front of them.
