Does anyone actually pay attention to the overarching big picture of the flownof the narrative in the Scriptures?

It’s discouraging to me that people try to shuffle their stacks of verses together to support what they want to see.

For anyone actually interested in submitting their beliefs to what the Author of history has to say on this subject then please try reading (& / or listening) from Genesis to Revelation repeatedly and pay attention to the story of history that God is writing.

As Islam is already taking Europe hostage, its footprint in America continues to expand. Is it too late? Will we lose this battle also?

We certainly will if the church is convinced that our only job is to ignore the culture and just do evangelism. And if we lose the culture, we will be ruled by a jihadist religious system that has no scruples against wielding power to crush its enemies.

That’s what Islam is. It’s a system of domination with a religious veneer. They will not simply coexist with us if we let them win.

Your statement is Reductionist Philosophy in action and totally unbiblical.

If God were a Unitarian god then this would be understandable but He is the TriUne God of Scripture and there are layers of meaning woven into the texts of Scripture.

The modern day, post enlightenment, Christian worldview is not necessarily a biblical worldview.

@Presby1992 You might enjoy the book “Primeval Saints” by James B Jordan. It’s an excellent study on the patriarchs & he has a few pages covering the use of deception in the Scriptures.

Keep in mind:

1. The word translated as “church” is the exact same word (in both Greek and Hebrew) as the word for “assembly”. Every time you read the translators using church or assembly, it’s the same word. There is no such thing as a new entity of “church” “replacing” “Israel”.

2. Name changes for His people come with a new phase for God’s people. He frequently did this with both individuals & the covenant community.

- Prior to the Exodus, God’s covenant people were called Hebrews. This included not just Abraham’s physical descendants, but all who were in his household and were circumcised.

- After the Exodus they were called Israel. This included a mixed multitude who came out of Egypt (Ex 12:38). Caleb, from the tribe of Judah was a Kenizzite (Genesis 15:19; Numbers 32:12).

- After the return from exile, they were called Jews (tribal distinctions were no longer emphasized, Jew is a contraction for Judahite).

- The fulfillment of Isaiah 62:2 (“… And you will be called by a new name”) is shown in Acts 11:26. God’s people are now called Christians.

The olive tree we are grafted into is not Israel. The olive tree is Christ. Your statement claiming the tree is Israel is the true “Replacement Theology” because you have replaced Christ with Israel.

Hey brother, thank you for this excellent post. I’ve been thinking about the subtle changes in the giving of the Ten Commandments in Deuteronomy vs Exodus. Namely, the wife is listed under the house in Exodus but she heads the house in DT. Also, the Sabbath is tied to creation in Exodus but it’s tied to delivery from slavery in DT. Do you see any significance in this? Just wondering…

The resurrection was a private vindication of Christ but there is irrefutable proof of the divine origin of Christianity that unbelievers cannot deny. Unfortunately the modern church is not teaching this proof. This book is a must read. ⬇️

“The Edge” by Howard Ferguson
“How I Raised Myself From Failure to Success in Selling” by Frank Bettger - this sounds crazy but he was a former baseball player whose career ended in injury. Chapter 1 tells the story of when he went from a huge slump to the minor leagues & came back to the majors. He just needs to read chapter one of that book.

I 100% guarantee he would have a huge turnaround if he actually got these books because it’s 100% confidence at this point. He didn’t forget how to play - he has the game & it’s just mental.
