My heart snaps in two watching this. Specialist surgeon whose whole life has been dedicated to the #NHS close to tears over being asked ‘Can I have a white doctor?’ And his response, my God. Hard to believe it’s 2019.

Presley the Pug toy-OUT NOW. He focuses on the “safe place” activity, relaxation, & emotional regulation. He has a zip pocket for hopes/worries/thoughts/multi-sensory things that make them feel safe, calm, happy etc. He supports children to have a brain break & mindful moment.
Please watch this and others on this thread. Helps us remember how our diversity is our humanity. Joyful (and made me cry...). We can be a kind, inclusive and happy society even though hard to remember in current times. Happy Sunday everyone.
@mark_j_lilley This is brilliant and I would be really interested in using this within our service, I do not seem to be able to DM you directly to send my NHS email though. Thank you!

It can be hard to know what to say or how to help someone whose child has cancer. People worry about saying the wrong thing and don’t want to interfere. Help them face each day feeling stronger and more positive #BeAChildCancerFriend https://t.co/OsCVGtWbjd #CCAM
https://t.co/RpuX12TwCS An important reminder for all of us working with children and young people, to always ask questions and remain curious. 1 in 20 children being abused in the UK is too many @childrenssociety
