It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I announce the passing of Tatum Dale, my longtime District Director, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Campaign Manager. My full statement is below:
“When I first ran to serve the Sixth District, Tatum Dale was one of the first people who volunteered to help. Born and raised in Murray, Tatum came to the University of Kentucky for college, and I’m forever grateful that she stayed to serve alongside me. For over 15 years, Tatum was the heart and soul of my team. She held almost every job in my office—Scheduler, Field Representative, Deputy District Director, District Director, then Deputy Chief of Staff and Campaign Manager for my U.S. Senate run.
“With Tatum’s leadership, my office favorably closed thousands of cases for Kentuckians—helping veterans, seniors, and families throughout our district. She fought to deliver funds to support dozens of community projects across our Commonwealth. She loved helping people and was a servant of others, just as Christ envisioned us all to be. Maybe that’s why her birth in heaven is a shared birthday with our Lord and Savior. While our hearts are broken, our team finds peace and hope knowing that Tatum is now home with Christ, resting comfortably in the arms of her Savior.
“Tatum loved her family, her faith, and her Commonwealth. She made me a better Congressman, our staff better public servants, and we will all miss her forever. From Murray to Lexington and everywhere in the Commonwealth that she touched, we hope you will all join us in praying for Tatum’s family and friends—and be forever inspired by her memory to serve others.”
What a day @UVA! Wonderful to meet with @PaulBegala’s students, sign many books, & participate in an event for the @Center4Politics under the famous Rotunda. Thanks to everyone who turned out for the Revolution of Common Sense tour stop!
The 2025 @Pollstar Awards named @BourbonNBeyond Music Festival of the Year! Congratulations to @DannyWimmerPres and Bourbon And Beyond on this exciting achievement!
As families across the nation gather to celebrate Easter, I extend my gratitude to the dedicated East Wing Staff for their tireless effort in preparing the upcoming White House Easter Egg Roll.
This cherished tradition, rooted in history since 1878, brings joy, storytelling, and laughter to America’s children. I look forward to watching all of the smiles light up this memorable day, on Monday.
May this Good Friday inspire hope and faith for all Americans and our friends around the world.
I will never forget standing in the Garden of Gethsemane when I visited Israel, imagining the pain and agony Jesus Christ was anticipating as he contemplated crucifixion.
Amazingly, Psalm 22 prophetically foreshadows Christ's crucifixion 1,000 years before His death and many years before the invention of crucifixion:
"they pierce my hands and my feet. All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment."
Christ knew this is what He faced, which is why He prayed so hard that He sweat drops of blood, asking God to "take this cup from Me" but ultimately saying "yet not My will, but Yours be done."
He willingly chose to die because that is how much He loves YOU!
His death paved the way for our salvation, completely justifying our imperfections to an all perfect God.
The Garden of Gethsemane represents the ultimate place of suffering, but the incredible part is that from the Garden you can see the Mount of Olives -- the place where scripture tells us that Jesus will one day triumphantly return.
In other words, from the place of ultimate suffering (the Garden), you see the place of ultimate redemption (the Mount)!
Today, on Good Friday, we contemplate Jesus' incomprehensible sacrifice, but we do it with the knowledge that Sunday is just ahead.
We will soon say, "He is Risen!" 🙏
DEI is done at UVA. Today, the University of Virginia Board of Visitors voted for commonsense saying NO to illegal discrimination and YES to merit-based opportunity. Students at Mr. Jefferson’s University—and across America—deserve unlimited intellectual freedom, not ideological gatekeeping.
My thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected by the flooding in my home state of Kentucky. Thank you @realdonaldTrump for the immediate approval of an emergency disaster declaration. Also, thank you to all the emergency responders for all their efforts.
We want to give people a hand up, not a hand out.
Arkansas just announced its plans for a Medicaid work requirement. If able-bodied, working age adults get free healthcare, they should be expected to work, go to school, volunteer, or be home with their kids.
For the last four years, I have been fighting to properly designate the Houthis as a terrorist organization for attacking our citizens.
President Trump is already holding our adversaries accountable and restoring American leadership!
Just because a baby can’t defend herself, doesn’t mean she’s disposable—it means she’s vulnerable. My bill would have protected the lives of the most vulnerable.
