Mr Bikchandani's scorn and dismissal of student activism is a huge disrespect to the rich culture of student politics India has seen. No university hoping to inculcate future leaders can do so by restricting political discourse to the classroom.

Also…interesting that Bikchandani is directing his comments to students (and parents) whilst the recent imbroglio involved a professor and his research paper?

One must presume then that papers (& their authors) that invite aandolans, and other such scary outcomes, should also be discouraged from the hallowed halls of Ashoka.

And to imagine that this craven behaviour was somehow outside-in when in fact it’s inside-out, like a fish that rots from its head.

This was resolved by Atul on 22nd itself. We were shifted to an upper floor and the room was near the lift. We also received a fair discount on the room.

@DukesRetreat highly disappointed with my experience today. I came in with my father, who is disabled, and expected a room next to the lift - as per instructions given a week prior, on the booking email. But that's far from what happened. >

@DukesRetreat @chaletindia Update: we have now been offered a room on a higher floor - at a price of ₹4000, and told this is exclusive of taxes. On visiting the @DukesRetreat website, we find out that the difference between the rooms is just ₹3000, excluding taxes. What a mockery.

Our first day's experience at Duke's might have been an exception. My father was supported all throughout our stay & we felt that the staff went above and beyond to ensure access for my father's needs. Appreciate it @DukesRetreat
