I wrote an article of my training, race strategy and execution for @wser where I finished 3rd with a time of 14h19’:

The iRunFar team is signing off from the Western States 100 start line. We're so excited to continue our coverage by live blogging the race all day & night tomorrow.
We hope you'll spread the word & join us! #WS100 https://t.co/LAbMMwUCQa
UPDATE: It appears as though it is now called the “TrailCon Hall of Fame”. Does anyone know who is on the selection committee? Genuinely curious how this all works.
About time to start sharing the insanely cool searchable splits tool @tbloncar built for Western States. All the data you need while watching the broadcast in a few weeks. 🔥

As I'm writing this description, Western States is under 1 month away. Let's be real: my dreams of being on the podium at Western States amount to a moonshot. Episode 11 is the big leap before the moonshot: https://t.co/KayKkgyc6r
It's a low-probability dream. I'm not delusional, even if we might find out the dream was delusional all along.
But that's what big dreams are all about. Moonshots are worthwhile for their own sake.
The Quad Rock 50 Mile is a classic Colorado trail race where many top runners have tested themselves on the beautiful trails outside Fort Collins. Given the history and tough terrain, it's the perfect race to test myself before Western States.
I came out of the race with some new lessons and some stronger confidence... and also a small knee injury. We'll see what happens. But right now, the knee is feeling good. And the moon is looking a little bit larger in the sky.
Moonshot time. BELIEVE.
🎬 UNBREAKABLE 2 🎬
In 2010, history was made at the @wser. A historic collision of legends, Geoff Roes came from behind in heroic fashion, emerging victorious in a then course record time of 15:07. The race was beautifully captured by @jbbenna and @journeyfilm in the 2011 documentary Unbreakable, a piece of art that helped thousands of people fall in love with this amazing sport.
On June 28th, Western States will host another collision of legends. Perhaps the greatest 100-mile start list ever assembled, present-day champions will compete to etch their names into Western States history — carrying the awareness that they stand on the shoulders of giants. This being the 15th anniversary of the Unbreakable year, it only feels right to tell the story again. Same race, same course, same spirit, but with a new cast of characters and in a new generation of trail running.
Though we’re only in the early phases of planning, @runfreetrail is honored to partner with Journeyfilm in this ambitious project. Stay up to date by visiting the link in comments.
ONE MORE STEP
Grateful for another unforgettable experience at the @wser. Our new paper describes how race participation impacts central artery stiffness & hemodynamics. Huge thanks to our amazing team, the @wser research board, and the @japplphysiol and reviewers!
