What makes this especially heartbreaking is that Chimamanda is someone who has already been deeply hurt by this country’s failures. In 2015, her late father was kidnapped and only released after a huge ransom was paid. She later wrote about the guilt she carried, wondering if her fame had made him a target. Now, years later, her son dies in a Nigerian hospital while the family is here on holiday. They haven’t lived in Nigeria for years. I can’t help but imagine the thoughts that must be running through her mind. Whether she’s asking herself if he would still be alive had they remained in the US and if she is blaming herself for coming home.
Day 36, The children kidnapped in Oyo are still held hostage by terrorist, 210 trillion naira has gone missing under kyari, Tinubu’s government hates you.
It was my birthday on the 17th of May, felt nothing like it, literally cried the whole day. So I decided, 17th of June, we go again!

A moving woman will eventually understand feminism.
It is sacrosanct to your self actualisation that you see yourself worthy of the highest form of respect as a human being and not anything less because you’re a woman.
Again, a moving woman WILL learn feminism.
A HUGE fan of the push to keep under-16s off social media. I think it's an excellent idea, and NONE of the alleged positives, combined, amount to even a fraction of the immense, often irreversible negatives. I hope governments and society implement as quickly as possible

It always beats my brain that Nigeria has a dedicated national programme & budget to fund the rehabilitation of terrorists but has nothing dedicated for the victims of the terrorists who are traumatized for life.
@Sage_medics Technically, the most common cause is being a child in daycare. The pathogen changes every few weeks, but the diagnosis is still B. Common cold
We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our dear colleague, Russel Eraga.
He was known for his kindness and professionalism, and for his dedication to delivering quality work and supporting our clients and the firm.
Russel and I were classmates and teammates at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus. We both served on the Executive Committee of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC). He was the Financial Secretary, while I served as the Public Relations Officer (PRO).
I will always remember him as a kind and easy-going fellow.
When I first saw this post on LinkedIn, I was ready to type “Congratulations,” thinking it was one of those promotion announcements. Instead, I found out it was an obituary.
The frailty of this thing we call life.
Now that your watch is over, may light guide you home, and may you find peace with your Maker, brother. 🕊️
