People, including AI devs, generally lack the understanding of their business economics.

They Ramp the corporate card, the i/o runs on, and the user brags about blowing $500k a month on models to "solve the world's problems, I'm really very smart, my dudes."

My stuff runs on local compute. Private. Accessible. Free (in many cases). Auditable. On-prem. And you can even post code to it and I will personally approve and review your PR.

There has never been a protocol like Pipes before, not in the user-facing sense, mostly because it wasn't possible technically until the last few months/years. Pipes is the FIRST. We have secured the longest chain. We are young, messy, and down to clown. Message me and let's elevate it together.

By "chain" I am not talking about a token offering. Pipes is reusable, ethical, and likely to DECREASE in price. How many software providers have you seen that say, "We want to lower prices over time"? None. Yeah. I get it.

So: what the heck is a protocol?

I'm glad you asked.

Many software-as-a-service products require you to sign in. You can't use it from outside the system. A protocol, in the same way sending emails or text messages work, is an OPEN standard on the internet that governs how information is transmitted. It sounds fancy and impressive, but it's basically adding a tool that pulls out fish bones to your grill when you want grilled fish. You don't log in unless you want to. Just llike email, HTTP, or RSS. Nobody can de-platform you from an open standard. The only difference is that it is tailored to non-developers, but devs have all the tools they need to save themselves/companies compute costs.

Pipes and our associated products offer a free tier. I will personally zap some sats to you if you sign up, effective within 1-2 days, that allows you to run the protocol on Bitcoin without anyone's permission. It is an early stage product, so there are some jagged edges, but I know a guy who will fix them as soon as you complain. It's me. You can do so publicly and I will fix the issues you spot within hours. Flame me. I will fix whatever sucks.
