Try swapping weapons every so often, I had to after every hit.
Not confirmed but I'm pretty sure my challenge wasn't counting if the match was more than 50% progressed.

Don't track it, tracking challenges consistently breaks them.
It has to be a sniper designating while holding the designator, placed designators and IFV designations can not count.
It also doesn't count if the designation..
