💥In "Finding Frantz Fanon in Ferguson, Missouri" @chelsbirch analyzes the 2014 Ferguson uprising as a Black-working class rebellion against internal (neo)colonialism drawing on tools from Fanon's "The Wretched of the Earth"

The Italian trade union Si-Cobas has announced it "will oppose any shipping of weapons to Israel."
Almost 6% of all major conventional weapons exported to Israel over the last decade came from Italy.
This is an excellent survey by @donald_planey of Hal Baron's work, locating him within radical geography. A must read for scholar-activists, as Baron's institutionalist, spatial, political economic analysis of Black racial oppression informed Chicago Freedom Movement strategy.
I thought this sounded cool so I texted my condensed matter physicist sister. Turns out they got a patent so no one can repeat/verify their work 😭 Sad what capitalism does to science
Today might have seen the biggest physics discovery of my lifetime. I don't think people fully grasp the implications of an ambient temperature / pressure superconductor. Here's how it could totally change our lives.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of a concrete company that wanted to sue a union because a strike cost them money.
The 8-1 decision means the company, Glacier Northwest Inc., can sue the union over a strike where truck drivers left wet concrete in their trucks.
the arrestees have been charged with money laundering and charity fraud. this is clearly a post-2020 experiment in targeting things like bail funds to indirectly stifle protest and increase the damage of further repression
it's been said before but: this isn't just about Atlanta
if you're just tuning in to what's going on in Atlanta, three organizers with the Atlanta Solidarity Fund -- the city's largest bail fund -- were arrested this morning at their homes. ASF provides jail support to ensure those in police custody have their rights protected 1/

We stand in solidarity with GEO Local 3550 graduate workers at the University of Michigan (U-M) who have been on strike since March 29. #1u#OnStrike@geo3550

BREAKING: We have learned via FOIA request that U-M started making payments to their injunction lawyers in 2022, months before the start of our strike. This shows that the university never bargained in good faith and never intended to avoid a strike.
BREAKING: Hollywood writers are striking.
They’re fighting for their livelihoods against billion-dollar studios and streaming companies who have been squeezing writers to eke out more profits.
Writers didn’t shut down Hollywood — the studios did.
