Thanks Hadassa Daltrophe & Zvi Lotker.
A fascinating lecture by Stuart Russel on "AI: What if we succeed?" (25 April 2024), full of creative examples, poetic expressions and lots of knowledge about AI systems.
Not to be missed by anyone concerned with AGI.

6/ while obeying the core values of democratic societies (freedom of expression and user privacy) does not exist. This result leaves us with hard future choices to make.
Excited to announce that our recent work on social media regulation and the echo chamber effect is finally out!
Thank you @vardi for the initial inspiration.
Check it out, see comments for the abstract.

5/ The fundamental question we try to answer is: how and can a regulation “break” or reduce the echo chamber effect in social media? Sadly, the paper’s main result is an impossibility result: a general regulation function that achieves this goal (on our social media model)
To my non-Israeli followers: What would your country do if more than 120 of its citizens were kidnapped from their homes and hurled into a neighboring quasi-state of jihadi terrorists, then kept in cages, tortured and sexually molested?
Would it, for example, allow support to the citizens of that quasi-state (who generally back their regime) with food, aid, and fuel?
How do you think your country SHOULD respond, and how WOULD it respond?
I'm asking this not to provoke political arguments, but to genuinely understand different perspectives.
Lost?
"Now been found and returned". Emily was taken by the monstrous Hamas, kidnapped. Her stepmother was murdered, and her friends were slaughtered. This tweet is insane. It's worse than a lie.
Is the PM of Ireland afraid of the Pro-Hamas crowd in his country?
Disgraceful.
This is beyond parody. We are deeply entrenched in the realm of nonsense, having arrived there via a trail of antisemitism. Israel would be happy to agree to a 1:1 ratio. The terrorists won't have it.
