“He talked cash about the Nuggets and backed it is what he did! He called them out BY NAME and they folded like laundry. In this house, Jaden McDaniels is a legend, end of story!”
Amazon’s tax bill fell 87% last year thanks to Trump and the GOP’s big bill.
At the same time the multi-trillion dollar company has fired 30,000 Workers.
And their profits have gone up 43.5% — reaching $89.5 billion.
All I see on my timeline is a bunch of Republicans and legacy media reporters parsing every quote and comment from AOC in Germany, trying to mock them for incoherence or inaccuracy, meanwhile a ranting demented old man who can’t string sentences together, stay awake, or identify Germany on a map sits in the Oval Office, re-elected, while the legacy media happily sanewashes his ridiculous garbled quotes on a daily basis while refusing to ever question his total ignorance on every issue. Remarkable.
Atmospheric scientist here. Let me tell you what was actually "slashed" today.
Slashed: The Endangerment Finding — a 200-page scientific review upheld by the Supreme Court, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, and reaffirmed by the National Academies of Sciences in 2025.
Slashed: The legal authority to regulate carbon from cars, power plants, and factories. All of it. Gone in one afternoon.
Now here's what you're "saving":
Yesterday Trump ordered the Pentagon — the largest energy consumer on Earth — to buy coal electricity.
Coal costs $69–$169/MWh.
Wind costs $27–$53/MWh.
Solar costs $38–$78/MWh.
99% of U.S. coal plants cost more to run than replacing them with brand-new solar or wind.
That's your tax dollars buying the most expensive electricity on the market. By executive order. While the Peabody Energy CEO stood in the room.
And the human cost of what you're "saving"?
460,000 American deaths linked to coal pollution in 20 years. Coal PM2.5 is 2.1x deadlier than other air pollution. (Henneman et al., Science, 2023)
All to protect an industry that employs 44,000 people total. Clean energy employs 3.5 million.
Important to remember that this victory belongs 100% - literally one hundred percent - to the people of Minneapolis. Elected Dems did essentially nothing to bring this about. Our political leadership is dogshit. Everyday Americans, on the other hand, can really do amazing things.
Why don't her fellow White House correspondents stand up for her? Why do reporters as a group tolerate these Trump attacks on their own members, especially female members? What happened to solidarity?
Americans are being killed in the street by their government. Our Constitution is being shredded and our rights are dissolving. Resist.
Senate Dems should block ICE funding this week. Activate the National Guard.
We can and must stop this.
Apparently we should care about 'Somali fraud' but turn a blind eye to all the millionaire and billionaire convicted fraudsters who the MAGA Dear Leader keeps pardoning, week after week.
Tapper: Those are officers being attacked on Jan 6th? By this standard, would any of those officers be justified in shooting and killing the people, causing them physical harm?
Noem: When people are physically harming them, they have the authority to arrest those individuals.
Tapper: The president pardoned every single one of them.
Noem: President Trump has been so focused on is making sure that when we're out there, we don't pick and choose which situations are in which laws are enforced and which ones aren'
Tapper: I just showed you video of people attacking law enforcement officers. Undisputed proof, undisputed evidence. And I just said President Trump pardoned all of them. And you said that President Trump is enforcing all the laws equally. It's just not true. There's a different standard for law enforcement officials being attacked. If they're being attacked by trump supporters. We just saw that.
Michigan Senate President Pro Tempore @JeremyAllenMoss (D), author of a bill to unmask ICE agents in the state, responds to a Republican's concerns about ICE agents getting threatened by mentioning that state legislators still do their jobs publicly despite threats against them.
"I was a victim of a bomb threat in my residence in September ... It's horrible. We have made a choice to endeavor in public service. And as we take votes in the Senate, we haven't changed our processes to take our votes by secret ballot. We still stand up publicly in the public sphere — knowing that there are all these challenges by being a public official — and still act transparently and openly. You and I share that passion of transparency and openness and accountability in lawmaking. What we're saying is let's have that transparency and accountability in law enforcement as well."
"And so, I understand there are challenges to being an ICE agent, but when you choose to sign up to be in that public sphere, you have a responsibility for transparency in how you carry out your job. You should not be a masked vigilante because we are not masked vigilantes in our job. You should not be a masked vigilante while enforcing our immigration laws in this country."
@ChristopherHine This pissed me off. How do you expect any growth from a player when that’s how long their leash is? Defenders lose their guy all the damn time on this team @DaneMooreNBA@JonKrawczynski also Dane, get on Bluesky so I can get off this app
