"Ruch’s lapse in judgment in ordaining Joshua Moon showed a callous indifference to the physical & spiritual safety of the sheep he vowed to protect. His negligent decision... placed Moon in an environment where additional harm was done. This was preventable from the outset."
1) When a narcissist leads a church/org/inst, the system becomes a "narcissistic system." This means that as the narcissist (N) relates in his sphere, there is an inter-dependent mutually-impacting dynamic that takes place...
Reportedly, @MidwestAnglican Fr. Keith Hartsell, accused of abuse mishandling, lying, sexual harassment, manipulation/coercion, and bullying has been given a "godly admonition" and released to @westernanglican.
Unnamed violations, but not considered serious enough for removal.

Important 🧵
I wonder if @The_ACNA bishops realize how many spiritually homeless ppl came into the denom b/c they had left spiritually abusive/unaccountable church/ministry systems & believed the episcopal structure could provide accountability & safe shelter. 💔1/2
When I moved back to the US three years ago, I intentionally joined an Anglican church. I loved the liturgy; I also believed the claim that having priests and bishops and archbishops meant oversight that meant abusive leaders would be properly dealt with.
After updating our database last night with some recent cases, we realized that in fact we're tracking abuse allegations in 14 (out of 28) dioceses in @The_ACNA. Abuse and its mishandling by those in power extends far beyond @midwestanglican. #acnatoo

The fact that there are many notable leaders from w/in @The_ACNA on the @AnglicanCouncil that presumably are OK w/this statement is alarming. 1/9 🧵
Most of the backlash I’ve seen against @ACNAtoo’s Statement of Commitment to LGBTQ+ Abuse Survivors is either blatantly homophobic, willfully obtuse, or laughably obsessed with conspiracy theories.
However, a few people seem perhaps legitimately confused.
So here you go. 🧵
If, on the other hand, you are obsessed with @ACNAtoo and our alleged apostasy, and that is more concerning to you than how your denomination’s leaders respond when children are raped and abused, then your commitments speak for themselves, and that also is what it is.
All people have beliefs and agendas. We can be clear about our beliefs, and also about our agendas, and how they do and don’t interact.
That’s what @ACNAtoo did in our statement. Our beliefs vary. Our agenda is supporting survivors. It’s actually that simple.
The two most powerful statements used by abusers (or allies) to undermine the credibility of victims?
"I didn't do it"
and
"There are facts you don't know"
@AlyssaKayeB @steveslagg Fun fact: Mark Rivera filmed those RL videos!
According to Mark's own Youtube channel (linked below), he was in charge of set design and construction and was the camera operator and floor director.
