It is important to have faith. Faith in yourself and faith in a higher power!

[Dr Abi Mwachi @abimwachi]

Threatening medics with jail for preventable maternal deaths will backfire.
It drives defensive medicine: doctors will refuse high-risk deliveries, mandate unnecessary C-sections, and prioritize avoiding lawsuits over patient care.
Look at New Zealand—WHO guidelines stress a "blame-free" review system. They focus on systemic fixes, not criminalizing doctors, leading to safer outcomes.
Criminalizing medical errors causes clinicians to hide mistakes rather than learn from them. We need better infrastructure, training, and staffing—not handcuffs.

A plan to oppress the union's children is a plan to kill the union's future.

A plan to oppress medical interns is a plan to kill the medical profession's future.

A plan to oppress the medical profession is a plan to kill public healthcare.

Are CBA's just words, or promises of dignity and fairness? Our 2017 CBA represents years of hard fought battles to achieve the dignity we deserve.Implementing it is not just about honouring our past, it is about securing our future.

Homes are flooded, estates marooned, and children are at risk of drowning.
But it's a comedian rowing boats to save the people.

Doctors are on strike and patients are dying.
But let's hire CASes and discuss buying a new presidential jet.

Nairobi's drainage system hasn't been upgraded since independence.
But let's ignore all expansion regulations, take kickbacks, and approve 75-storey buildings.

These, my friends, are consequences of your own choices at the ballot.

[Dr. Ouma Oluga, OGW @fnoluga]

It was really nice for the negotiations to continue up-to the point of an initialized Return to Work Formula.

Now we know 3.5B to pay drs their accrued salary arrears is available.

We also know 2.4B is available for Internship program.

800M is also available for Post-Grad training and other CBAs.

However, the drs demand for a relook of these monies totaling 6.7B and prioritize posting and paying interns as per CBA terms at 5B isn’t an option.

Isn’t that a solution straight from the drs trying to ‘live within means’?

Yet the answer is still a NO. Why:

1. It was never a lack of money in the first place. It was pure provocation. Nothing more.

2. Governors are now salivating for this 3.5B negotiated by KMPDU so they procure roads and markets with it for kickbacks’ sake. And they already appeared before parliament asking for 5.8B while sacking the same drs they use to demand for money which they’ll never pay them.

And that dear friends is the country you call Kenya.
