My Remarks @PressClubDC National Press Club First Amendment Discussion
“On Monday, I wrote my first check to the US District Court for the $800 dollar daily contempt fine. The plaintiff is now asking the court to increase the fines to $5000 dollars a day, and bar third-party reimbursements for the fines. This is designed to break a journalist — mentally, emotionally and financially.”
“It should also concern every journalist — and every American who values a free press — that vital First Amendment rights are being decided in a case where the courts have kept important evidence secret from the public by keeping documents under seal.”
“Serious journalists everywhere should demand the release of this sealed evidence so the public can fully understand what is truly at stake when courts impose fines and order reporters to reveal their sources.”
“At a time when many corporate media outlets choose to settle or pressure journalists to surrender their notes, I want to acknowledge that Fox News has continued to stand behind me and fully support the First Amendment and investigative journalism by paying my attorney’s fees — even though I left the network seven years ago.”
.@SECWAR “Why don’t you show some leadership and STAND UP TO YOUR FELLOW DEMOCRATS WHO WON’T FUND THE TROOPS.
WHO STAND TO PLAY PARTISAN POLITICS WHILE YOU DON’T GIVE US THE MONEY. You want to STAND UP HERE and talk about the troops...
You have Trump derangement syndrome and can’t actually commit to anything meaningful.”
Steve Bannon: The Senate has decided it will treat Trump like a lame duck President moving forward.
No Republican who held up the SAVE America Act should see elected office again.
Every operational success in the Middle East begins and ends with service members focused on their missions, including the U.S. blockade against Iran. As of July 21, U.S. forces have redirected 8 commercial vessels and disabled 1 to fully enforce the blockade.

It is the single greatest crime ever deliberately perpetrated against the American people.
Rep. Lisa McClain: The Biden-Harris terrorist administration spent $66 billion on illegal aliens just in 2023 and only $3 billion on homeless veterans.
That’s more than a trillion dollars over four years.
In other words: you’ve been deceived, robbed, extorted, blackmailed, and betrayed.
@SenateGOP@ChrisMurphyCT You should focus on doing your job and passing the SAVE Act. While you're at it remove Thune and Murkowski from any leadership positions
