I believe in the future of warehouse-native apps but I also strongly believe that a warehouse-native version of a SaaS product is not a straightforward replacement for its traditional counterpart — it's a complementary solution that is suitable only for certain use cases.

Simple things I’d like in a BI tool:

• Charts defined in SQL and *synced to Github*.
• Same for dashboards.
• Global annotations, overlaid on all charts.
• Custom global colour scheme for charts.

@sarahcat21 Most exciting element to me feels like acknowledgement that activating data doesn’t mean syncing it to N destinations. Long-term we’re thinking of @getvero as building a “component” that sits atop various data sources (w/ corresponding diff query langs). Interesting ideas here!

@jamescham We’re betting on this @getvero with our product, “Newsletters”. In-market for six months and lots of learnings as per threads attached: what workloads can work with Snowflake/Redshift/etc., what do we need to store. Lots of interest in this approach that’s for sure!
