@classicretromod I had to double take at the photo as I also had a red 214SLi which had a very similar plate. Mine being K770 JTS. Best car I've ever owned.
@ThePollitt @carandclassic Thoroughly enjoyable series Chris. Like yourself i got myself a garage this year (not a double though) and hope to fill the space with an 80s or 90s Rover some time next year.
@Ed_Westby Must be a Vauxhall thing. My sister's neighbour has a grey Mokka with stickers everywhere including "Vauxhall Sports" on the door mirrors. Reflective stickers on, above, below and behind the exterior door handles along with others. Horrendous. Havent dared to look inside. ππ
@Ed_Westby I bought a 92K plate 214SLi back in 1996 and had 4 years of completely trouble free motoring. I had friends with Escorts of a similar year and the R8 was light years ahead in terms of fit, finish and refinement. No wonder it was a huge seller in the early 90s.
@isildore Ah the CISWO! It's behind St Columbas Church now. Never understood why they built all those retail units when the Kingdom Centre is virtually empty. I left in 2007 but still visit regularly. Not the same place though.
@isildore@MissHubnut KV6....now you're talking Kevin! Have to be a coupe for me although I'd take a fastback too! Long gone are the days when I used to wander round the forecourt of Andrew Forrester Rover in Glenrothes. Hell i feel auld now! π€£
@isildore@MissHubnut I also have the same affection when it comes to Rover as having owned a number over years. I'd love another R8 variant or an 800 at some point.
@NeilJWoodDetail People who think their front DRL's are suitable for use at night. Most have no idea they have no lights on at the rear. See it on a nearly daily basis just now.
