Firefighters put everything on the line to protect us, and often at great personal risk. But the dangers don’t end when the fire is out. Exposure to harmful chemicals continues to take a toll, increasing cancer risks for those who dedicate their lives to keeping us safe.

With H.B. 65, we’re expanding cancer screenings and medical support, ensuring firefighters get the care they deserve.

I look forward to seeing this bill on my desk, and taking the next steps to make Utah a national leader in firefighter health and safety. To every firefighter and their family — thank you.
