🔴 HRCB Monthly Report—April 2026

In April 2026, HRCB documented 124 cases of enforced disappearance and 53 killings across Balochistan. Among those disappeared were 8 women and 5 teenagers. Only 23 individuals were released; the rest remain missing.

📌 Most disappearances were carried out through house raids (98 of 124 cases). The Frontier Corps was the primary alleged perpetrator (53.7%), followed by the CTD (29%) and intelligence agencies (14.5%).

📌 Students were the most targeted group with 24 documented cases. Kech (20), Dera Bugti (19), and Panjgur (16) recorded the highest number of disappearances.

📌 Of the 53 killings documented, 14 victims were previously disappeared individuals whose bodies were recovered in April. Targeted killings (16), bombardment & shelling (12), and custodial killings (11) were the leading categories.

📌 Additional incidents include a military operation in Kardegaap, Mastung injuring two unarmed youths; the forced confession of Rahima Bibi after six months of disappearance; and a Kharan operation involving civilian injuries, home destruction, looting, and the enforced disappearance of a doctor.

اما ہئوری اُن ماؤں کے قافلے کی ایک توانا اور باہمت ساتھی تھیں جو اپنے جبری طور پر گمشدہ بیٹوں کی تلاش میں برسوں سے دربدر ہیں۔ اب ہمیں اس بات کا شدید دکھ رہے گا کہ دن بھر احتجاج اور دھرنوں کی تھکن کے بعد ہمیں ہنسا دینے، ہمارا حوصلہ بڑھانے والی اماں ہئوری اب ہمارے درمیان موجود نہیں ہوں گی۔

دہائی سے زائد عرصے تک اؔما ہئوری ہمارے ہر احتجاج اور ہر دھرنے میں شریک رہیں۔ وہ مسلسل اپنے گمشدہ بیٹے کی بازیابی کا مطالبہ کرتی رہیں۔ مگر اس جدوجہد کا سب سے دردناک پہلو یہ ہے کہ وہ بھی بے شمار دوسری ماؤں کی طرح اپنے بیٹے کے انتظار اور اس کے غم کو دل میں لیے اس دنیا سے رخصت ہو گئیں۔

آج اماں ہئوری کی قبر تک تو پہنچ گئی ہے، مگر ان کے بیٹے کی تصویر اب بھی ان کی لاش کے سینے پر ایک خاموش چیخ بن کر وہی سوال دہرا رہی ہے۔
یہ تصویر اس ریاست کی بے حسی پر بڑا سوالیہ نشان ہے کہ ایک ماں نے چودہ برس تک پرامن احتجاج کیا، اپنے گمشدہ بیٹے کی واپسی کا سوال اٹھاتی رہی، مگر قبر تک پہنچ گئی اور یہ ریاست اس کے سوالوں کا کوئی جواب نہ دے سکی۔

the Baloch National Movement (BNM) presents a brief documentary highlighting its claims about the human rights situation in Balochistan. According to the BNM, Balochistan has been under Pakistani control since 1948, with real authority held by the military rather than civilian institutions. The organization alleges widespread enforced disappearances, targeting students, academics, and those expressing Baloch cultural or national identity.
The documentary also highlights recent cases of women reportedly disappeared in 2025 Mahjabeen from Basima, Nasreena from Hub, and Farzana from Khuzdar presented by the BNM as part of a larger pattern of ongoing abuses.

The film concludes with the BNM’s appeal to international human rights organizations to investigate these allegations and hold the Pakistani state accountable.

A key development during this period was Pakistan’s aggressive effort to leverage Balochistan’s resources amid the growing global competition between the United States and China for rare-earth elements (REEs). This economic agenda coincided with heightened attempts to suppress the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) @BalochYakjehtiC , the most prominent organisation within Balochistan’s human rights movement. The Provincial Assembly of Balochistan @PaBalochistan @PakSarfrazbugti functioned as a central institutional mechanism for advancing both objectives.
