I am a Jain and for my entire childhood I have been taught to feed pigeons by my parents and grandparents. It was a habit to visit the 'kabutarkhana' after the temple.

But let me tell you some facts. The Pigeon droppings, feathers, and even dried urine contain tiny protein particles and fungal spores. If you are regularly exposed to it, you can develop scar tissue in your lungs, and it can turn into a permanent and progressive ILD.

Around 45 to 50 thousand people die from ILD every year in our country. Though not always because of pigeon but one of the causes.

Coming from a religion where I have been taught Ahmisa from childhood, I totally understand what you feel about pigeons dying from starvation, but in my family, I have seen two people dying because of ILD. It is such a painful death that I would do anything to save people from it.

Pigeons are flying rats. Do you feed rats in your home? If yes, feed pigeons in your home.

[DrChitralekha Mhatre @chitru2311]

@RoadsOfMumbai Section 309 stated: Whoever attempts to commit suicide and does any act towards the commission of such offence, shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine, or with both., so she should be also punished ? According to you?

[DrChitralekha Mhatre @chitru2311]

@RoadsOfMumbai This reason was known to him not her suicidal intentions

[DrChitralekha Mhatre @chitru2311]

@RoadsOfMumbai He didnt stop for the sake of fun, photography or making reel. But due to the request of passenger being totally unaware of her intentions. Then too he was so alert that he was the actual life saver for her.

@DeepikaBhardwaj @BlrCityPolice @NCWIndia These type of cases are increasing day by day. Women are misusing the law and the in-laws and Husbnd are the helpless people. Have gone through all these and it’s really very very tough time for the husband n his family.
