Beautiful game last night, the final we all deserved.
No dirty tactics, nasty fouls or divisive political stunts, just two teams who love the game.
As the saying goes, you can’t buy class.
I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who missed the France vs. England game, because they literally missed one of the greatest spectacles imaginable.
England absolutely tore France apart in the first half. Thomas Tuchel pinned France’s defense back with Rogers, Toney, and Saka, stretched the game through the full-backs and Rashford on the wings, and repeatedly exploited runs in behind the defense. The result? England scored 4 goals in a stunning first-half display.
Deschamps refused to let his France career end in humiliation. He brought on Upamecano, Dembélé, and Barcola, moved Olise into a central role, and everything changed. France fought back to score 4 goals of their own. England responded with 2 more and eventually won 6-4.
A game featuring 10 goals, 14 big chances created, 38 shots, 2 goals after the 90th minute, and a Bukayo Saka hat-trick. This wasn’t just a football game—it was an international football festival.
One of the greatest World Cup games ever played. A game for the history books. ❤️
Proud of this England team. Came within 5ms of making the Final, put up greatest performance I’ve seen from England players in those Mexico heroics, smashed the French last night, and had best finish since 1966. The criticism of them & Tuchel is overblown.
We’ll win the Euros.
“save our children and we will save the West“
At ARC 2026, @Miss_Snuffy argued that the crisis facing the West is a crisis of moral formation, and that schools, families, and communities must once again take seriously the task of raising the next generation.
I just can’t get over this photo from an anti-Israel march in Dublin on Saturday.
It’s not the flying of the Hezbollah flag that disturbs me, because sadly Hezbollah flags have become a semi-regular sight on the streets of Dublin.
It’s the look on this man’s face. No attempt to conceal his identity, a wide smile as he poses for the camera. This is the look of a man who knows man knows he will face zero repercussions - social, professional or otherwise - for waving the flag of an Islamist terrorist organisation responsible for countless atrocities, including the murder of an Irish soldier, Private Seán Rooney.
This is what our media class has actively stoked with their bias and disinformation, and what our government has enabled with their cowardly appeasement. This is Ireland in 2026.
Today is the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism. The day when all of Europe marks the end of the most terrible war of the 20th century. A war after which there should have been only genuine peace. That was the dream back then, when the guns of World War II began to fall silent.
That war turned our land into a battlefield of brutal fighting, abuse in occupied territory, and the mass destruction of people and life. The losses of the Ukrainian people were among the greatest in World War II. And the contribution of Ukrainians to the defeat of the Nazis was also among the greatest. Millions of Ukrainians, serving in various armies of the Anti-Hitler Coalition states, fought against Nazism. Millions of Ukrainians were among the victors, having done everything in their power to ensure that absolute evil was defeated.
Unfortunately, 81 years later, we are once again forced to stop evil – evil that is just as absolute. Evil that brings nothing but ruins and abuse. And evil based on a similar ideology of enmity. An updated version of Nazism, marked: made in Russia.
Today, such Russian aggression can and must be defeated by the united free world. And I am grateful to everyone who helps us defend life. I am grateful to everyone who is not allowing this Russian regime to dictate to the world what comes next. Defending people’s lives and the freedom of nations from Putin is an absolutely dignified way to honor the memory of those who did not allow Hitler to subjugate Europe and the world.
Eternal gratitude to all who fought against Nazism and liberated people! Blessed memory to all innocent victims of World War II! Glory to every defender of life! Glory to Ukraine!
@HumzaYousaf You don’t think there is a problem of antisemitism among British Muslim communities? It’s something many Muslim commentators have acknowledged. And it is the main reason Jewish people live in fear in the UK. Do you disagree,
Or do you just not give a sh*t?
Jews don’t celebrate death - we sanctify life. Whatever your view on the death penalty, breaking open champagne to celebrate a law that takes life is fundamentally anti-Jewish.
Many already understand this. Others will, in time. One day we will look back at Ben Gvir’s tenure and feel ashamed that we allowed something so corrosive into the sanctuary of power in Israel.
Spain has a rich history of fighting against and resisting colonialism. That’s why Spanish is only spoken in Spain.
On the flip side, Hebrew is spoken throughout Mexico, South America, the Caribbean, and other lands of Israel’s conquest.
After implying that Israelis eat human flesh, UN rapporteur Francesca Albanese is back at her favorite pastime: dehumanizing Israelis, now using soldiers’ suicides to push her own agenda.
Francesca didn’t give the names of the young men who took their lives. She didn’t tell their stories. She didn’t commemorate them or speak of their bravery. She only saw numbers she could exploit for her own gain.
Most of these soldiers took their lives because they lost too many friends, because Hamas destroyed their lives. Francesca is right that they were traumatized — but not by themselves, by Hamas.
These were 18-year-old young men who, instead of going to college like normal young adults, were forced to see hundreds of corpses on October 7. Young men whose orders were to clear out Nova, where dozens of young women lay on the ground, their clothes torn, underwear bloodied.
They saw the unimaginable. Entire houses burned with families and children still inside, like the Siman Tov. They took their lives because they were haunted by Hamas’ horrors.
If anyone has no humanity in this world, it’s Hamas — the ones calling their parents ecstatic to brag about killing 10 Jews, or the ones who kidnapped a 9-month-old baby and his young brother before killing them with their bare hands.
Or maybe the one who truly lost her humanity is the woman using the suicides of Jews for her own agenda, with a perfectly clear conscience.
