Create a free social network for your church community. Bring your members online with messaging and groups, and accept donations from anyone in the world.
Choyr is a new service that allows your church to create its own social network. Members can message each other, post status updates, create groups, and donate to worthy causes. It's completely free to join. https://t.co/6MyTuKHgme
@hitel Hello Jamie. Yes, Choyr would be a great tool for this. You can create groups and events (with roles and volunteers), and get an overview of who's going to each event, etc. You're very welcome to sign up and try us out.
@paul_truswell @Cybersten Hello Paul. Choyr is funded from a small fee that's charged on donations which pass through the platform β similar to other donation services out there. We don't sell any personal or church data, nor do we have advertising on our sites. I hope this helps.
@NeilTurpin1 Hello Neil. I apologise for missing this tweet. You can find out what data we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it (and our members) safe here: https://t.co/PJfrwT6mlv
@ChrisCharty@BenGibbins@crmarrio Hello. We recognise that (only) a social network isn't necessarily exactly what churches want, so we're now in the process of expanding our general church admin services, to make a hybrid service that competes with other church admin software out there. I hope this helps!
@GillIsterling Hi Gill. I believe we've now spoken to you via our support channels, but please do let me know if there's anything further I can help you with.
@Cybersten Hello Mark. I'm sorry I missed this tweet, but yes, Choyr is GDPR compliant. You can read details about what data we collect and how we use it here: https://t.co/PJfrwT6mlv
@PrayerMate@trevorcoultart@kcodeuk Hello. Thank you very much for the tweet. We are a small team based in London. I hadn't heard of @kcodeuk, but I'm definitely going to have a look. Thanks!
@paulbass_net Hello, Paul. You're very welcome to join! Currently, you need a church location on Google Maps to join, but that's only for the search functionality, so you'd be welcome to create a location on Google Maps, sign up to Choyr, and then delete yourself from Google Maps.
Imagine all of your church members being connected to each other every day and at any time, engaging and communicating. https://t.co/fk95DJPMwU enables you and your church to do just that, with its own completely private social network for your church.
@chinmj We want to make the site safe for all while maintaining privacy where appropriate. If you have any advice, please let me know as we're very open to feedback and are learning as we develop the product. I'll bring this up with the team, too.
@chinmj Hello, Matt. Thanks for your tweet, and sorry for the delayed response. You raise important points. Church admins have visibility of all aspects of the site apart from private messaging, but we're looking to introduce "report" functionality for those.
