This headline makes it sound as if the Reform Cllr wanted Nigerians to do the road maintenance.
The actual quote was “the amount of Nigerians in town.
Should melt them all down and fill in the pot holes!!”
How on earth could Tice not bring himself to condemn that?
Nigel Farage secretly accepting a FIVE MILLION POUNDS gift from a Thai-based crypto tycoon is one of the biggest political financial scandals of this or any era.
Farage, for himself not the many.

Activist: "I only buy wool-free clothing."
Farmer: "What's it made of?"
Activist: "Synthetic fibres."
Farmer: "Which are made from oil."
Activist: "Recycled synthetics, mostly."

Activist: "That's an industry problem."
Farmer: "The wool I produce is biodegradable, regrows every year, and requires no petrochemicals."
Activist: "But an animal is involved."
Farmer: "An animal that needs shearing anyway."
Activist: "I still don't want to wear it."
Farmer: "You're choosing microplastics in rivers over a haircut."
Activist: "I'm choosing not to exploit animals."
Farmer: "You're choosing to exploit the ocean instead."
Final chance to write to the consultation to try and stop the government taking school exams online. This is the address to write to.
[email protected]
And here’s what I wrote.
@RobertJenrick Robert you and i know both know this is a cheap stunt, There are strict rules and permits about who can visit. Pub bores like Farage need to fill in a form! And the island base is full of serious people doing serious things. So perhaps he should get back to Clacton.
I think that if you’re going to write a piece in the Times urging the government to use and boost more AI, the fact that you are paid by a major AI company should be in the first sentence, or at least first paragraph.
I also think that the best scenario for AI is that it destroys millions of jobs with the prosperity, dignity and community that goes with them.
The worst scenario is the destruction of the human race - a fear openly expressed by an increasing number of senior and experienced AI engineers who are leaving the industry.
And somewhere in between a myriad of horrors such as yet more screen learning and screen addiction for our children.
But I do see that it will make rich men even richer. And that’s the most important thing of course.
This Puberty Blocker Trial is the most obnoxious & destructive thing I have heard of in my 77 years on this earth and it must be stopped. Children are going to suffer unheard of harm from this trial and it must be voted out of existence.

@vertumotorsCEO It’s a weird obsession with penalising people who generate lots of money for the exchequer, through VED, VAT on new & used cars, fuel duty etc etc.
parking is bad enough on my new build estate and it isn’t going to put people off buying cars!
Theres a very long list of US products that cannot be sold in the EU thanks to EU regulations. Since the favorite pastime of the Trump regime and every US oligarch is now to demonize EU regulations, I thought it would be very much worth going through some of those products.🧵
Recent incidents of antisemitism from NHS doctors filled me with shame and anger.
I will not tolerate it - or any other racism.
The NHS must be a safe harbour from the rising tide of racism in our society.
Enough is enough.
@paynenotes1@timfarron They already have all those things around tax, driving, passports, the list goes on…. Everyone’s entire lives are on computers in one shape or form, either through banks, energy companies, supermarkets etc.
The proof comes as a result of being gov approved like DL or PP 🤦♂️
@astorey88@benhoobs Not really convenient carrying the old birth certificate around though is it. There’s no solid reasons that a normal person would be against ID cards, it’s just hyped up paranoia.
@paynenotes1@timfarron It’s got everything to do with organisations that require a proof of ID, like when you get a job and you prove who you are, or if you want to take a finance product out and you have to provide proof of who you are. It’s a part of life and it helps to prevent fraud and criminality
@astorey88@benhoobs Incorrect. Do better. Any institution looking to verify ID to a reasonable level requires photo ID. And no, your bus pass won’t cut it.
Passports and driving licences which are the two recognised proofs are paid for.
@astorey88@benhoobs Still tinfoil hat level stuff. Nothing to do with ignorance and everything to do with democratising ID which for some people is unaffordable. Quite aside from the fact that regardless of different systems I still have the same photo on my DL and passport.
