#WritingCommunity, the book you're working on matters to you. It fills your heart with excitement and love, and like everything we love, it will get on your nerves. Never forget your love for it. Never stop fighting for it. It will all be so worth it.
Tolkien started LotR in 1937 & didnt finish until 1949, & wouldn't be published for another 6 years.
Asimov once wrote 1.5 million words in 10 months, and wrote over 400 books.
Dont put an expectation on your writing journey.
Just keep writing.

I hate when I want to give a character a cool name and can't think of anything. Then I'll end up using a placeholder like "Paul" until I think of something better, but then I get used to the name and suddenly have a 7-ft, four-armed mage named Paul.

#WritingCommunity, what’s your process for naming characters? I can create an entire fictional world with its own physical and natural laws but for the life of me I cannot decide on names. My MC is “123” who is being hunted by a feared pirate lord currently named “Bob”. 🤦🏻♀️
ONE OF MY POEMS WAS JUST ACCEPTED INTO MY NUMBER 1 FAVORITE JOURNAL OF ALL TIME. YES, I SCREAMED, CRIED, LAUGHED, & HUGGED MY DEAR FRIEND WHO WAS OVER. ALL CAPS NEEDED. Seriously! Besides where my ms gets published, my top writing career goal ! #WritingCommunity#poetrycommunity
The best writing advice I ever received was to write the 1st draft freely without thinking about punctuation or perfect word choice. My 2nd draft is going so smoothly because my building blocks are in place. #amwriting#WritingCommunity#WritingAdvice

'?' hissed the snake, as it coiled around Eve's arm.
How strange, thought Eve, it feels though I have grown a second stomach. A fresh hunger grumbles within me. A #question.
"Why are we here?" asked Eve to the snake, who began to smile.

This is my first tweet specifically to the #writingcommunity. I write public theology primarily, but I love to throw in some creativity as well. I find that a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down.
You know those times when you decide to go to Arby’s thinking to yourself, “Surely it’ll be better this time around,” but then it’s not? Yeah, me neither.
