As much as I agree that Apple Maps looks better, it's just not as reliable as Google maps in my experience, even living in the USA.

I have traveled to many places due to my job, and several times Apple maps has taken me several miles from where I need to be, I have almost missed my flight multiple times because of this, most recently a month ago.

Google maps needs to update its game for visuals, but reliability is the most important thing.
