本日は、アジェイ・バンガ世界銀行グループ総裁と、テドロス・アダノムＷＨＯ事務局長を、官邸にお迎えしました。
関係者が国際保健の課題について議論する「ＵＨＣハイレベルフォーラム」が、明日、日本政府、世界銀行、ＷＨＯの共催で開催されます。
ＵＨＣ（ユニバーサル・ヘルス・カバレッジ）とは、「全ての人が適切な予防、治療、リハビリ等の保健医療サービスを、支払い可能な費用で受けられる状態」を指しています。
日本は、１９６１年に国民皆保険を達成しており、日本の保健・医療に関する経験・知見を国際社会と共有し、他国のＵＨＣ達成を支援するよう取り組んでまいりました。
明日は、世界銀行とＷＨＯの協力のもと「ＵＨＣナレッジハブ」が東京で立ち上がります。
ＵＨＣ推進を目指す各国の財務・保健当局者の研修を行うなど、ＵＨＣ推進の国際的な拠点としての活動が開始されます。
日本は、関係の皆様と力をあわせ、健康をすべての人に届けるＵＨＣを今後も推進してまいります。
