There is a bias to communicate with adults whose memories of "classroom" are of places long changed. I wonder if you search for "phone" how many images of rotary dial telephones would appear?
Look at the results when I do a stock photo image search for "classroom" in a popular stock photo website. Students in rows, even blackboards which have not been the norm for 20 years or more.
