Attention:

Today our Board of Directors voted to prioritize housing over parking at El Cerrito Plaza Station.

They set a maximum of 250 replacement parking spaces from 740 spaces w/ no set minimum, making way for 800 units with 35% affordable and 12% moderate income.

Thrilled that BART Board unanimously approved my motion for 250 parking spaces MAXIMUM at El Cerrito Plaza BART, from current 740 spaces, prioritizing housing over parking.

Less parking means ~800 units will be built at the station, with 35% affordable and 12% moderate income.
