@MonetaryMettle You're telling on yourself here. It's not about the price. It's that you're competing with other professional hospitality businesses (i.e. hotels), yet Airbnb hosts are generally awful/amateur service providers. As you've illustrated here by failing to understand the comparison.

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@seesethcode @Austen So then you agree it's a UX problem. Is there a warning in the passkey dialog informing him that using the dialog he's being asked to use is the "wrong" way to do it? Or what exactly did you think your rebuttal was?

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@IDustRoseI @the_spy_wonder @liimoncellox There is definitely a nuance to it. Particularly in multiplication by juxtaposition. And calculators disagree on these by manufacturer.

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@GPrime85 @timsoret If you had used AI it would have told you not to write these embarrassing sentences.

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@lafemmefola @softadeyanjuu The problem is exactly that no human with a good command of English would type this. It has nothing at all to do with grammatical or linguistic correctness, which you seem to be stuck on...

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@Technovangelist @Airbnb It's just bonkers watching Airbnb hosts slowly realize they were running hospitality businesses as woefully untrained amateurs this whole time.

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@kylerobarts Yeah you wouldn't ask someone to sweep their hair at the barber, yet you're asking them to wash the comb that will be used on the next client. That's so fucking gross and weird of you. Just so strange you think that's even remotely appropriate as a hospitality "professional."

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@VessOnSecurity @LukeDashjr What service do you provide? Because when you say, "OUR customers are on obsolete PHP versions," it kind of sounds like you're telling on yourself. Otherwise, if you don't claim to provide management services, then why would it be your company's problem to begin with?

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@RemiNyxira What should be more concerning to you is that those dishes are reused as-is for the next guests if the previous guests appear to have cleaned them. So the dishes you're eating off of may have whatever the previous guest put on them. Very dubious if you prefer this process.

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@SeanSemanko @ChiefTrumpster So you were asked what models you use and you did not respond with the models you use. That's a signal.

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@LoganARobison Is it a personal residence or a venue that hosts paying guests? Try to stay consistent. Can't be both. And yes, happy to stay at a hotel. Never seen a hotel cry on X about cleaning. They are hospitality professionals. Airbnb hosts are amateurs LARPing as hospitality professionals

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@Somethingsbruhn @tisthepamseason Running a business where people stay as your guests, whether it be a hotel or a "lake retreat," is called the hospitality industry. You know, the industry you voluntarily participated in. Hope this helps!

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@762x54RAWR Apparently didn't do all the math since you forgot taxes. Assuming the US (your account just says "North America"), even in a state without income tax, take-home pay is $6,598, not $8K+. Now factor in state income taxes -- say, California -- and your take-home pay is $6,012.

@youdoingtoomuch Anyway, if you're spending more than you can afford, you don't get to magically avoid debt by using your debit card. You're going into debt either way. At least by using your credit card first, you had cash left over for your emergency and maybe you can refinance the credit card

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@youdoingtoomuch So then if you used your debit card instead, that "big balance" is now just money that left your bank, and now you physically can't afford the unexpected expense anyway. You see how you can't afford it either way, but in one scenario you still have cash? What's not clicking?

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@Somethingsbruhn @tisthepamseason Can you imagine if you went to a hotel and they said, "Your dishes tonight were used by the guests next door first, but we had them clean them for you." You realize how disgusting and UNSAFE that is right? You chose to be in the hospitality business. Fucking act like it or quit.

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@bloodelfwarlock @rudy_betrayed Mechanic: "That'll be $4,000 for repairs."
Them: "Oh sorry, I'm using a debit card."
Mechanic: ???

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@SamuraiShibaJP I used to do Texas to Ohio in one stint of about 17-19 hours (with gas/rest stops). The first time I did the drive, I did stop in Tennessee overnight, but then decided for future trips I could just drive straight through, so I did.

[Chrysus.dev @chrysusdotdev]

@GameReaper187 All these hosts voluntarily exposing their complete lack of hospitality industry professionalism on X today. Even though the rest of us already knew that 😭 So glad to be able to witness this historic moment
