Happy to say that my dad + team are now safe! They've left Kyiv and crossed into Romania via Moldova. They're resting for a couple of days before flying home soon. @dishmaster28

At home? C/D - had one 30 second power cut in 3 years of living there.
At work? D - never had one.
At the theatre? A - cuts lasting a couple of hours every 8-12 weeks. Distribution network feeder cable in the street is crap and keeps faulting, blowing fuses in the substation.
Some serious food for thought here. As someone who often wears the dutyholder hat at a University playhouse, PEEPs and rescue plans are the sort of thing that are always in the back of my mind.
To those who are pleased HS2 has been cancelled in favour of improving local trains, I say the following… The ***ENTIRE POINT*** of HS2 was to free up space on the Victorian network ***SPECIFICALLY*** in order to improve local trains!!!
