AI agents should be as simple as possible with minimal responsibilities.
Offload complex operations to mechanical code.
Don't use a skill where you can use a function call ☎️
@KatieKeithBarn2 I think hating AI is just the cool thing to do and everyone is doing it so i might as well hate AI too or everyone is going to think i am a bad person
@apeatling@johnturner Believe it or not, I prototyped a docs agent during RSM, for a similar purpose. So I guess I should say that I've already started working on it and stay tuned for automated WordPress documentation 🤓

@apeatling@johnturner Good insights, thanks. Yes, it's a challenge for sure. There are many tools that can spin up websites fast. That has been my motivation for the HTML to Blocks work, to make WP easier to use for AI.
I still like the alternative use cases angle but your points are all true.
@apeatling@johnturner Interesting, I'm curious to hear why you think it's a trap? Those use cases for WP aren't very common, I assumed due to its reputation as a website / blog builder.
@johnturner I agree, but i also think WP should start to focus less on websites and more on headless applications and personal software. Lean into the strengths and flexibility, website building is just one use case
@johnturner Interested to see what you came up with. Block format is a big challenge for a lot of WordPress devs and WP + AI products.
WP admin in general is confusing for non technical people.
