Some GC people are extremely happy that the GC has finally started talking about reservation.
Well, sorry to break your illusion. No, they have not started talking about reservation.
The BJP IT cell has pushed this propaganda to divide students along caste lines, so they do not unite against the corrupt BJP after the Chinese agent, deep state agent, and Muslim support theories collapsed.
BJP is the same party that tried to divide students along caste lines through the UGC.
Since most GC individuals are political slaves of the BJP, they feel they have finally found a voice against reservation.
If you have so much confidence, try anti reservation protest against the BJP and see what happens to you.
If you spread casteist propaganda at this time, you will permanently become a politically excluded outcast.
No one will take you seriously, and reaching out to GC voters will mean the complete death of someone's politics.
You have now become politically untouchable.
@imanuj45@iam_shimorekato Everyone is "equally" deserving student above qualification marks(213), NTA has said it, and people do take admissions at 250-300 marks in pvt inst paying almost 2-3cr all these are UR people, no sc/st can afford to pay this much, now justify your statement about suicides.
@imanuj45@iam_shimorekato I can't deny if you back it by some data. And how can reservation become a reason of failure of UR ? Even if you remove reservation there will always be "Exam failure", some people will always stay out of the opportunity just like the way some stay out now, what's your point?
If you want reservation to end, don’t start with reservation. Start with ending caste.
Every few months, someone says, “Reservation should only be for poor people. Rich SC/STs shouldn’t get it.” That argument fundamentally misunderstands why reservation exists.
Reservation is not a poverty alleviation scheme. If your concern is economic hardship, India already has 10% EWS reservation for economically weaker people from non-reserved categories. Poverty and caste discrimination are not the same thing, so they require different policy responses.
Caste-based reservation exists because for centuries, Dalits and many Adivasi communities were denied land ownership, education, temples, public resources, political power, and even basic human dignity. They were forced into degrading occupations, while privileged castes accumulated land, wealth, literacy, influence, social networks, and institutional power over generations.
Those advantages didn’t disappear after Independence. They were inherited. Just as wealth, property, education, and connections are passed down, so are the consequences of historical exclusion.
That’s why two families earning the same income today may still have completely different starting points. One may have generations of education, inherited property, influential networks, and social acceptance. The other may be the first generation to finish school because their ancestors were systematically excluded from those opportunities.
And if caste is truly “over,” then answer a few questions:
Has caste-based discrimination disappeared?
Do people no longer ask your surname?
Are marriages no longer decided by caste?
Has caste-based violence ended?
Why are Dalit communities still disproportionately represented in manual scavenging, sewer cleaning, and other hazardous sanitation work despite those practices being outlawed?
Why do many hereditary temple priesthoods continue to be dominated by Brahmins?
If the answer is no, then the problem reservation was created to address still exists.
Another myth is that reservation is “cheating” or “illegal.” It isn’t. Reservation affects admission, not the validity of the degree. Once admitted, students study the same syllabus, take the same exams, complete the same academic requirements, and earn the same degree from the same institution.
And before someone says, “But I know a poor general-category student,” of course they deserve support. That’s exactly why scholarships, welfare schemes, and EWS reservation exist. Public policy is based on broad social realities, not isolated anecdotes. Every policy has exceptional cases, but you don’t dismantle an entire constitutional safeguard because of them.
For centuries, upper-caste communities benefited from a social order that restricted others’ access to education, resources, and opportunity. Reservation has existed for only about seven decades. These are not equivalent time scales or historical experiences.
If you genuinely care about merit and fairness, fight for better government schools, equal access to quality education, affordable coaching, transparent entrance exams, and the complete eradication of caste discrimination.
Equality isn’t achieved by pretending everyone started from the same place. It is achieved by removing the barriers that prevented people from reaching the same place in the first place.
This guy is spreading lies. It seems percentiles are lowered for all categories to fill private seats. Which are so expensive no one applies.
But quota Govt seats are more competitive than pvt seats. Selling pvt seats to underqualified candidates is the main issue.
@imanuj45@iam_shimorekato Can you please share any data on reservation becoming "major" cause of suicide in youth? I see you are a Dr, and we speak on data right not on some assumptions.
@ihailmyindia read the history of how our constitution was written, what all committee were there, who was the head of the Drafting committee, and if BN rau wrote the constitution why did he not add right to education ? Did he want india to be dumb?
We can clearly see who has low IQ here
@iam_shimorekato Bro just look at the photos and names of those who committed s*icide due to this paper leak, almost all are from GC, if someone is fighting for those GC for justice, why are you tweeting propaganda? First let them get justice there, if you want you can start a new protest coward

@Imharshithm Same with maharashtra many people from states that have way less number of colleges take these seats and then vote based on religion in their respective states, you know which are those states most in the north
Somaiya College - Gujarati Minority Quota
HR, KC college - Sindhi Minority quota
Khalsa college - Punjabi Minority Quota
Xavier’s college - Christian Minority Quota
National College - Muslim Minority Quota
Just few examples from a lot of colleges. No one will bat an eye against them but yeah underprivileged caste based reservation is where uc folks draw a line.
@dont_fck_wdcat If you are speaking about financial hardships faced by GC, these a reservation for them as well, I think it's EWS. And in this quota, no poor from SC, ST or any other community even minorities can't apply, it's exclusively made for poor GC, so stop complaining
@jaypanicker They caught one in 2024 as well and they gave that person a clean chit today, what actions did he faced ? He must be roaming free today, same will happen with 2026 mafia https://t.co/RafVaXecbn
