This is not justice—it’s persecution.

ABD’de faaliyet gösteren Türk Kültür Merkezi (TCC) Maine, Ramazan Dostluk Yemeği’ne ev sahipliği yaparak her kesimden topluluk üyelerini mübarek ayın ruhunu paylaşmaya davet etti. Portland’da düzenlenen etkinlik, katılımcıların bir araya gelip oruçlarını açmaları ve Ramazan’ı tanımlayan birlik, dostluk ve cömertlik değerlerini kutlamaları için bir fırsat sundu.

TCC Maine tarafından düzenlenen bu yemek, yalnızca Müslüman topluluğun bu geleneği yaşamasını sağlamakla kalmayıp, aynı zamanda farklı inanç ve geçmişlerden komşular arasında kültürler arası anlayış ve diyaloğu teşvik etmeyi amaçladı.“Bu buluşmaya ev sahipliği yapmaktan ve Ramazan’ın güzelliklerini dostlarımız ve komşularımızla paylaşmaktan onur duyuyoruz,” diyen TCC Maine temsilcisi Süleyman Ciyrak, “Bu tür etkinlikler, köprüler kurarak ve karşılıklı saygıyı teşvik ederek topluluğumuzu güçlendirmeye yardımcı oluyor.” ifadelerini kullandı.

🚨 URGENT: STOP THE DEPORTATION OF CEBRAIL IDER! 🚨

1-) Cebrail Ider, who fled the oppressive Erdogan regime in Turkey a regime that disregards human rights and weaponizes the judiciary to silence its opponents applied for asylum in Austria in hopes of securing a safe and dignified life for himself and his family. However, he now faces the threat of deportation back to Turkey.

2-) Ider was previously arrested in Turkey on baseless charges, lacking any legal evidence, and spent 27 months in prison. After his release, he was systematically denied employment and stripped of the social assistance that Turkish citizens are entitled to, due to laws specifically targeting him.

3-) Married with a child, Ider sought to build a future for his family by applying for asylum in Bulgaria. However, his application was rejected. If deported to Turkey, he risks immediate re-arrest and could join the staggering 350,000 individuals currently imprisoned under the regime. Desperate for safety, he turned to other countries for refuge.

4-) In his pursuit of safety in Europe, Ider applied for asylum in Austria. Despite his application being formally received, Austrian authorities plan to send him back to Bulgaria without awaiting a court decision. If returned to Bulgaria, he faces almost certain extradition to Turkey, where imprisonment awaits him.

5-) Cebrail Ider’s only wish is to find refuge in a country where he can live with his family in dignity and freedom. We urge the Austrian authorities to consider the plight of a man fleeing oppression and injustice and to halt his deportation until a fair court decision can be made. His life and future depend on it.
