3v2 | Fast Breaks to Goal
Created On: @SSPlanner
📌 Exploiting overloads in wide areas.
🧱Set-Up:
✔️ On a 1/4 of a pitch section off the playing area, as shown and position the players as shown in the animation.
👕 Teams: ⚫️s vs 🔴s plus 🟢 (GK)
▶️ How to Play:
☑️ The ⚫️s start the practice with a 3v2 overload towards the larger goal. They combine to create a scoring chance.
☑️🔴s try to regain the ball and escape via a dribble or s pass for a runner between any of the red cones.
☑️ After each attack, a new set of players enters the pitch. Rotate the attackers and defenders regularly.
🚧 Constraints:
🏆Reward: Double goals for first-time finishes.
👨🏫 Review: The two and three-player combinations the attackers use to create scoring chances.
🚫 Restriction: Introduce a time limit to score for the attackers. If the defenders deny them a scoring chance, they stay on to defend another attack. If the defenders successfully deny 3 attacks in a row, they become attackers.

🗣️ This is a Double 1v1’s Practice From https://t.co/lciQlqh6Xw drill library. This drill is set up on a 30x36 yard pitch with two main goals, each guarded by a goalkeeper. Teams are divided with two players positioned on the left side and two players on the right side of the grid. The drill begins with simple passing across the grid between teammates, establishing possession and connection before the competitive phase starts.
Once the initial pass is played, a 1v1 attacking and defending phase immediately begins on each side. The player who made the pass now quickly transitions to defend the teammate receiving the ball, resulting in two simultaneous 1v1 battles. This dynamic setup challenges players to react swiftly both offensively and defensively while working under pressure in tight spaces.

🗣️ This is a 1v1 with transition practice from https://t.co/lciQlqgz7Y drill library. This 1v1 recovery defending drill begins with a defender dribbling out from the byline, just outside the penalty area. The defender then plays a forward pass into an attacker positioned just beyond the edge of the semi-circle. Immediately after the pass, the defender must sprint around one of two cones placed wide on either side of the penalty area to simulate a delayed recovery.
This delay allows the attacker to advance unopposed for a few seconds before engaging in a live 1v1 duel. The purpose of the setup is to create a realistic scenario where the attacker has a head start and the defender must recover quickly, make up ground, and attempt to stop the attacker from scoring.

⚽️ Defending the Box - 4 Balls ⚽️
The defending pair must defend four balls in total. Initially, the pair will defend two crosses into the box, attempting to make two clearances. Afterwards, the pair must react quickly to defend a 2v2 followed by a shot from the edge of the box.
⚽️👇 Activity Description Below
This transfer rondo involves three teams of six players, with two teams in possession and one team defending. The possession teams must work together to keep the ball, while the defending team works to regain possession by applying pressure on the ball.
In this drill, three defenders press into the ball-sided grid, while the other three defenders screen the central line to prevent any easy passes across. After completing ‘x’ number of passes, the possession players are allowed to transfer the ball to the opposite side of the grid, where the defending team will then shift their pressure to the new ball carrier.
