Here’s a little STEM task that can be used in the classroom. Students create a structure out of 25 toothpicks and blue tack, that can withstand 3 shakes of the earthquake simulator. “Better luck next year “to the tissue box #unsuccessful. #acuedu_p

2M are aiming high! Got to implement my new narrative writing bump it up wall in class today! My students honestly placed themselves where they thought their narrative writing skills were. Great way for students to see their improvements by moving up the wall! #acuedu_p

These last few weeks have been tough. I often feel like I’m yet to really succeed. Makes me relate to those students who don’t always ‘get it’ in class. My mission from here on in is to create opportunities for ALL to succeed in the classroom (including myself) #acuedu_p

Celebrating the little victories. I've started to write down at least 1 little victory for each student in my class at the end of the day. Sometimes it can be so easy to focus on the negatives in a lesson that you miss all the positives. #acuedu_p

Favourite part of my practicum so far has been teaching maths. Today we worked on using angle relationships to find unknown angles. Monday sees my GTPA unit wrapping up. Will be interesting to see just how far they’ve come since they did their pre-assessment. #acuedu_p
