SAVIOR COMPLEX

Okay, I really don’t think that somewhere between the passionate kissing and getting into bed, Nanjo suddenly decided to take a minute for some deep self-analysis and reflection on his "savior complex". 😂

I think he was much more likely quoting Mok-Yeon and teasing him with his own words again. I mean, look at that smirk: he’s obviously pleased with his little joke. He’s such a menace. 😋

Ch 12, Mok-Yeon: "Do you like Sunhwa that much that you'd go this far? Or what, do you have some kind of savior complex?"
Ch 40, Nanjo: "Maybe I've got a savior complex".

That's a good one, Nanjo!🤣

(He’s done this before too, using Mok-Yeon’s own words to provoke him:
Ch 3, Mok-Yeon: “You can still get hard again, can't you, Nanjo?”
Ch 13, Nanjo: “What, you can't get it up again?”)

And in ch 12 Mok-Yeon was basically putting strong feelings for Sunhwa and a savior complex in opposition to each other (like it had to be one or the other). And Mok-Yeon seemed to think the reason probably couldn’t be strong feelings, right? 🥲

So now Nanjo is pretty clearly teasing him about it, like:
Well, what other reason could there possibly be? Definitely not feelings for Mok-Yeon! Obviously! Must be the savior complex for sure, not feelings! Sure! Whatever you said!

P.S. I also kind of think the author might be teasing us, the readers, here. 😁 Ever since Mok-Yeon thought (he hadn’t even said it out loud yet) that Nanjo had a savior complex back in ch 8, we’ve been constantly describing Nanjo through that one trait. Like it’s the one defining thing about him and somehow explains every single thing he’s done in more than 30 years of his life.

This is just my personal opinion and my own thoughts. They may differ from how other readers see things, or from what the author intended.
