@edlazere hey Ed! Current teacher in DC! Do you have any ideas on what I can do to help change the lower educational expectations on my students? Primarily students of color?
MARCH: Teachers are going above and beyond.
APRIL: Teachers are heroes and deserve our support.
MAY: Teachers should be millionaires.
JUNE: We need to cut school budgets.
JULY: Teachers need to go back to school.
AUGUST: Teachers are selfish and donโt care.
Iโm finding myself going back into research and looking for some folks who can help out. Do you know anyone who specializes in X-ray spectroscopy ? @astronaia @_Phil_Nye_
The at-home AP Exams this year will not include any multiple-choice questions, only free-response questions adapted for secure testing at home. They will measure skills that can't be learned from Google or chats with friends. By April 3, we will post the specifics for each exam.
The AP Program is developing resources to help schools support student learning during closures, as well as a solution that would allow students to take AP Exams at home, depending on the situation in May. We'll communicate the details by March 20. More: https://t.co/0EtyBgAsNi.
@ediphoto@MayorBowser We need to make sure all students are able to access school. I do not want to be held responsible in the long run for NOT equipping my students with the fundamentals of mathematics if all is needed are laptops, microphones & camcorders
My first tip is put your videos in GOOGLE DRIVE. No ads.
Tip 2) If you are using YOUTUBE get the link to the video you want to share with students and put on a Google Slides slide. No suggested videos! And you can add some text to the side :)

Just logged into my Zoom account to see that @zoom_us has lifted the 40 minute time limit on meetings of 3 or more!
Thank you #Zoom!

@mariethaconrado @starstrickenSF What is smart? I studied astrophysics, and at times I struggled and was open about it. Turned out I was not alone, and I was not stupid.
Like any subject, if you have a good tutor and you are open to what you struggle with, you will learn amazingly.
Jealously is a disease. You can die from it.

Really try to instill this on my students. Because no one wants to work with someone jealous of their work.
Do better, be better!
@val_deanda Seriously. Why isnโt this on the news? Or a podcast. People need to know this and that sticks and stones wonโt break me. Continue doing the hard work.
